Leona Ricks left this world on July 24th, 2024. 

 

Leona was an uncommon soul. The kind that stands out against the landscape of your past as a person you were fortunate to have met. The kind you both admired and envied for how naturally gifted she was. She was a woman comfortable in any crowd, but more importantly she was someone around whom you were naturally at ease, even if you’d met only moments before. Perhaps this was because she could speak to nearly any subject, be it the philosophical musing of Ayn Rand or the best way to fix a hole in drywall. Perhaps it was the intensity of her passion, the kind that pulled you in and made you excited about that new walkway for her cats that she was working on. Whatever it was, she was remarkable.
